The Airlink Adrenaline Wonderboom Airport Show taking place on 10 - 12 June 2016 at Wonderboom Airport is gearing up to be one of Africa’s biggest civilian air and automotive shows of 2016.
The event is part of Wonderboom Airport’s 80th birthday celebrations and in partnership with the City of Tshwane, Airlink and the tenants of Wonderboom Airport, represented by the Wonderboom Airport Interest Group (WAIG).
A large percentage of the tenants have been operating from the airport since its early days and would like to see the airport flourish once again. Some tenants have therefore taken the initiative to put on the ‘Adrenaline Show’ which will feature some of the best aerial, car and motorbike displays South Africa has to offer.
Considered to be a first for South African airshows, there will be a 4,1Km racetrack and a 950-meter drag race strip that will give airshow attendees a unique mix of aviation and motorsport.
Another first for an airshow will be the hosting of the Street Rod and Muscle Car Nationals.
Friday 10 June will be marked as Career Day. Many learners are not aware of the career opportunities in the world of aviation and the motorsport industries.  The Airlink Adrenaline show will give both these industries the opportunity to assist learners in discovering the magic of aviation and motorsport.
Airlink is proud to be a part of the Airlink Adrenaline Show at the City of Tshwane’s Wonderboom Airport.
This opportunity to support the Adrenaline show allows Airlink to endorse Wonderboom Airport, to showcase the airports allure as a gateway of choice for Gauteng, and together with its partner South African Airways to emphasize its long term commitment to offering daily flights between Tshwane and Cape Town from Wonderboom.
The Capital to Capital flights comprise up to two services daily and provide the City of Tshwane’s business and leisure travelers with simple and affordable quick and efficient access to Cape Town, and vice versa.
Customers experience the convenience of walk-on-walk-off aircraft access, a business class lounge, affordable parking in close proximity to the terminal building, and local hotel accommodation.
It takes less than 10 minutes to deplane, collect your luggage, and get to your car, and you can check-in right up to twenty minutes prior to departure.
In short, the service is simple, efficient, under-promised and over-delivered, and competitively affordable.
Tshwane houses approximately three million residents, and several thousand businesses located in multiple business commercial and industrial nodes.
All businesses, industries and communities located in and around Tshwane can benefit from the scheduled flights. In particular, manufacturing sectors such as the automotive industry and various diplomatic missions and NGO’s located within the catchment in the area, where there is a strong nexus with their counterparts in Cape Town, also benefit from air services at Wonderboom.
For business travellers, Airlink offers an intra-continental (as in intra Europe) style business class service on its 83-seater Avro RJ85 regional jet that operates the route.
Airlink’s Grey Sunbird Lounge provides private sanctuary to all Business class passengers, as well as to Voyager members, Gold/Platinum/Lifetime Platinum.  Benefits for Airlink customers include Voyager Miles.
Flight reservations can be made with your booking agent or SAA Central Reservations on +27 11 978 1111, and for online bookings visit www.flyairlink.com or www.flysaa.com

AirTeam, headed by well-known business man, skilled pilot and Air Boss Chris Briers, is proud to be associated with an airshow of this magnitude.  Chris was approached by Christian Maiorana from Villa San Giovanni, to become part of the organising committee due to his experience in the organsitation of airshows all over South Africa as well as Botswana and Namibia.  “The Adrenaline Show is expected to grow into South Africa’s premier aviation attraction,” said Chris.
The driving force behind the Airlink Adrenaline show is Villa San Giovanni (VSG) and is a proud sponsor of the Airlink Adrenaline show.

“VSG has been operating at the airport for 35 years, and is privilege to be involved as a sponsor of this very first Adrenaline show”, said Christian Maiorana, partner of VSG.

“It is always very exciting to be part of bringing new family events to our community especially when they are hosted on our door step! As a strong supporter of Wonderboom airport we are especially honoured to be part of an event that is going to bring positive exposure and growth to the airport and its tenants. We look forward to a spectacular event and are positive it’s going to be Tshwane’s new annual event of choice,” continued Maiorana.

Joining Airlink and Villa San Giovanni as a partner is the Hot Rod Shop.

The Hot Rod Shop will bring Street Rods, Super cars and Muscle cars to the show. Jakes van Staden owner of the Hot Rod Shop will host the Street Rod and Muscle Car Show at the Airlink Adrenaline Show.
