The Secunda Airshow promised to be one of the best shows on the 2013 airshow circuit, unfortunately it came to a tragic end. Glen Dell a former World Advanced Aerobatic Champion and Red Bull Air Racer went into a "inverted flat spin" and only recovered very close to the ground, he could not pull out and slammed into the ground. The aircraft came to rest in a fence and after a few long minutes it was totally engulfed in flame, Glen was sadly very badly burnt and succumbed to his injuries later that evening. After a meeting with the organisers and participating pilots it was decided to call off the show. May Glen forever soar with eagles our sincere condolences to all his Family and friends.
